Leadership You Can Trust

Why I'm Running

I learned at a young age that we can't take our rights for granted.

So when our own Representative, Tricia Cotham, betrayed voters’ trust by switching parties and providing the deciding vote for Republicans to gut our reproductive freedom, I couldn’t sit on the sidelines. That’s why I’m running for the North Carolina State House.

North Carolinians Deserve Leaders They Can Count On.

Building a Stronger, Fairer North Carolina for All

Nicole Sidman’s mom taught her early on that our rights and freedoms must be fought for. Those lessons formed who Nicole is today – someone who is deeply committed to standing by her word and fighting for what’s important.

As an attorney, educator, community leader and mom, Nicole is running for the State House to take up the fights that matter to our community and our state. She knows that the politicians in Raleigh, including our own Representative Tricia Cotham, would rather roll back our freedoms than deliver progress for the North Carolinians they are supposed to serve.

Feminism symbol

Protect a woman’s right to an abortion and block all Republican efforts to further erode our freedoms.

Public education

Fully fund our public schools, raise teacher pay, and stop Republicans’ diversion of our public school tax dollars to private schools.

Voting ballot box

Make it easier to participate in democracy by protecting our right to vote and standing up to partisan gerrymandering.

Safety and security

Keep our community safe by rolling back Republican laws that make it easier for criminals to buy guns and stopping convicted domestic abusers from owning a gun.

Thank You!

Thank you to voters across the district who showed up to vote in our Democratic Primary. Thank you to supporters across North Carolina for donating your time and your resources to our campaign. Now, our campaign to defeat Tricia Cotham and give our community a voice in the statehouse begins. Can we count on your support?
